The UK has lifted sanctions on 24 Syrian entities, mainly in the country's vital banking and energy sectors and including the former oil-producing joint ventures with Shell and TotalEnergies, in an effort to help it rebuild three months after the lightning coup that brought down the Al-Assad regime.
