ʶԳ respects the privacy and values the confidence of our customers, visitors to our website, employees, and business partners, and strives at all times to comply with the laws of the countries in which we do business. This Privacy Policy describes how ʶԳ collects and uses the personal data you provide on, or otherwise transmit to, our website(s), servers, social media pages or if you receive services, publications, newsletters and emails from us, such as such as our information services, research reports and advisory services for the global energy industry or are received by us in connection with ʶԳ conferences, subscriptions to our publications, newsletters, data services or other products, webinars and similar events (“EI Services”), that are provided to ʶԳ by you, or your organization on your request and your behalf.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the personal data we collect about you, including information collected on or from our website and servers, any other websites (including mobile access), from emails; from accessing our publications and newsletters, including the content of the same, and EI Services, as well as on the websites for our conferences, webinars and similar events that link to this policy; all of which are referred to as the “Site” in this policy.

GeneralOur primary purpose in collecting your personal data is to provide you with the products and services you requested and those which we believe will optimize your use of the Site. We may use your personal data for the following purposes:

Applying to work with usIf you apply to work with us, we will use the information you supply to process your application and to monitor recruitment statistics. As a global business we may transfer your details outside of your home country and to other companies or locations in our group. Once a person has taken up employment with us, we will compile a file relating to their employment.
If you apply to work with us through a third party, such as a recruitment consultant, please also check their privacy policy before proceeding. We do not encourage unsolicited approaches either directly or from third parties – please do not send personal data to us unless the data subject has read and agrees to this privacy policy.
We may retain details of candidates who may be of interest to us, either now or in the future, for up to one year and, if required, longer. If you would not like us to do that please let us know. Additionally, if your circumstances change – for example you no longer wish to be considered by us for employment – please let us know that too.
We may use third parties to consider potential hires. We may also verify details in your application and make what we consider to be reasonable and necessary background checks about you. These background checks may require a third party to contact you and obtain information.

We may run some of our events with our partners and we may share your information with them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such partners, and their privacy policy will apply to their use of your personal data.

ʶԳ may disclose your personal data to enforce our policies, to enforce and police infringement of our intellectual property, to comply with our legal obligations or in the interests of security, public interest or law enforcement in any country where we have entities, offices or affiliates. ʶԳ may pass your personal data to third-party service providers providing contractual services to us, such as web hosting, delivering subscriptions, developing or supporting products and features, list processing, sending email messages on our behalf, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service. ʶԳ provides such service providers only with the information they need to perform their services and subject to appropriate contractual protections.
ʶԳ also collects your credit card information when you choose to pay us by credit card. This information is shared with financial services companies relevant to the transaction.
We may also share your personal data with any third party you have asked us to share your personal data with or any social media site if you have asked us to connect with your account.
You may have accessed our Site through a hyperlink from the website of one of our trading partners. If so, you consent to your personal details and purchase information, including behavioral patterns, being shared with that trading partner in accordance with our contractual relationship with them.
We (or the third parties mentioned above) may occasionally also share personal data with: our (and their) external auditors, such as in relation to the audit of our (or their) accounts, in which case the recipient of the information will be bound by confidentiality obligations; our (and their) professional advisors, such as lawyers and other advisors, in which case the recipient of the information will be bound by confidentiality obligations.
If we or any part of our group is sold, or some of its assets transferred to a third party, your personal information, as a valuable asset, may also be transferred to the acquirer, even if they are not in the same line of business as us. Potential purchasers and their advisors may have limited access to data as part of the sale process. Where is your information processed?In connection with the EI Services, you, your organization, and/or we may transfer from time to time your personal data to countries outside the country in which you now reside, and collection, processing and storing of your personal data may occur in a country that may not be deemed by your country to provide an adequate level of data protection. Transfers of personal data to the United States of America will be limited to recipients that have certification to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, signed up to, in the case of the EU, European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses (“EU Standard Clauses”), or in the case of the UK, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the international data transfer agreement (IDTA) or the international data transfer addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for international data transfers (Addendum) (“UK international data transfer tools”), or can receive your personal data on other lawful grounds.
Marketing communicationsIf you have given permission, we may contact you by email about products, services, events, promotions or special offers that may be of interest to you.
