  • Several countries in the European Union are signalling that they are seriously considering boosting domestic natural gas production following fears over the reliability of major LNG suppliers, such as the US. The Dutch government has given the go-ahead to explore more gas in the North Sea, while the Black Sea is providing hope of additional volumes to eastern Europe.
