Russian shipping giant Sovcomflot posted a 44% decline in net profits in 2024 as sanctions hit its operational and financial performance. Analysts expect that this year might be even more challenging as the company has yet to fully feel the impact of sanctions that were ratcheted up during 2024, let alone the new US measures imposed by the outgoing administration of former President Joe Biden on Jan. 10.
