Traditional South American LNG importer — and occasional exporter — Argentina has fired the starting gun on a series of LNG projects that could consolidate it as a stable exporter of the superchilled fuel in the 2030s. The export drive is backed by the government’s ambitious free market reforms in tandem with foreign oil and gas companies seeking to ship resources from the country’s booming Vaca Muerta Shale play.
