US gas producers are downplaying the short-term impact of President Donald Trump's 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports, saying their costs are largely fixed for the next year or so. But some worry that a prolonged trade war could hurt the Haynesville Shale's ability to meet an expected surge of Gulf Coast demand later this decade.
