About Kjersti

KJERSTI SWANSON is an ʶԳ Junior Research Analyst. Key research focus areas include energy transition, corporate strategy, competitor intelligence, oil and gas/LNG markets and aboveground risk.

Ms Swanson works on the ʶԳ Research and Advisory team, supporting staff on corporate energy-transition-strategy analysis, new and emerging energy markets and country-level climate-risk assessments.

Prior to joining ʶԳ, Ms Swanson worked as an intern on the Energy Security and Climate Change team at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC, where she worked on issues related to domestic energy security and transition strategies, with special attention paid to methane mitigation and low-carbon technologies. Her internship ended with the culmination of a project on the role of national oil companies in the energy transition and achieving state climate goals. She has previous experience working on methane mitigation in the oil and gas industry through her internship with the Environmental Defense Fund.

Ms Swanson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
