Lukoil was the only Russian company to join the list of 50 world oil and gas companies that signed the landmark Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC) at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai. Russia is expected to abstain from supporting any global initiatives, including the pledge to triple renewables or join the Global Methane Pledge, industry players and experts say.
