EIA Now Sees Decline Inflection Point in US Crude Output

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) sees US crude oil production peaking at 14 million barrels per day in 2027 before shifting into decline through midcentury — a pronounced shift from its previous long-term forecast released in 2023.
