Save for later Print Download Share United Airlines Ventures (UAV) has invested an undisclosed sum from its $200 million Sustainable Flight Fund in US power-to-liquids e-SAF producer Twelve. "Scaling the SAF industry is the major hurdle air travel needs to clear in order to increase the supply and reduce the price of lower-carbon fuels," said UAV head Andrew Chang in a May 6 announcement. "Twelve has differentiated themselves through the capital they have raised and the SAF contracts they have secured," he added. "United's Sustainable Flight Fund's investment reinforces our momentum at a pivotal moment as we move from innovation to implementation," said Twelve CEO and co-founder Nicholas Flanders. "With AirPlant One launching imminently and strong a collaboration with United ... Twelve is proudly creating a realistic pathway to carbon-neutral aviation," he added.
