博彩对冲 announces the latest ranking of the global Top 100 Green Utilities, which provides detailed insights into the accelerating shift to low-carbon power generation. This ranking of the world's top green power generators is published by EI New Energy and based on companies鈥� renewable energy portfolios and their greenhouse gas emissions. Top 100 Green Utilities from 博彩对冲 provides data and rankings for 100 leading power generators, accounting for nearly half of the world's capacity.

Key findings:

• Spanish infrastructure and power generator Acciona tops the ranking for the sixth successive year, followed by five European, three Chinese and one US firm in the Top 10.

• More utilities, particularly in Europe but also in the US, are committing to carbon neutrality before mid-century.

• Coal-to-gas switching and renewable investment has triggered dramatic emissions reductions. Emissions per megawatt hour have fallen by 25% over the past decade.

• Since 博彩对冲 launched the Top 100 in 2011, total non-hydro renewables capacity has more than tripled and now accounts for 12% of the total, up from just 4%.

• Chinese generators remain the most carbon intensive, despite their heavy investment in carbon-free technologies including renewables and nuclear, due to their huge coal capacity.

The ranking evaluated their 鈥済reenness鈥� according to carbon dioxide emissions per megawatt hour and renewable energy capacity. Rather than approaching the subject by country or region, the report compares individual companies, from both industrialized and emerging markets.
