Wednesday marked the end of the first week of the summit in Dubai, with the conclusion of the technical phase of the formal negotiations. After a day of rest for the UN climate talks on Thursday, ministers from over 190 countries are due to start work Friday on finalizing the key negotiating texts — including key language to be debated around phasing out fossil fuels and tripling renewable capacity.
