Sky-high tariffs on imports from the US could drag down China's oil demand this year, with propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plants and ethane crackers potentially forced to scale back their operations. Moreover, because China is such a big buyer of US liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ethane, the tariffs could drag down US LPG prices.
