Prospective laser enricher Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) ramped up uranium enrichment testing as part of its effort to demonstrate technology readiness level six. GLE, which is 49% owned by Canada’s Cameco and 51% by Australia’s Silex, aims to complete the TRL 6 testing by the end of 2025, at which point GLE "expects to generate hundreds of kilograms of enriched uranium." GLE hopes to begin commercial uranium enrichment around 2030.
