The deepening trade war between the US and China is clouding the country’s jet demand outlook. High tariffs are undermining ongoing recovery in China's international travel demand as well as air cargo flows. However the situation plays out, Beijing's aggressive stimulus policies could transform domestic consumption into a reliable pillar for Chinese economic growth. More tourism within the country would support domestic jet demand, helping to offset any slowdown in international passenger volumes.
