Hungary’s Wizz Air says it will rely more on SAF and new aircraft than its rivals, and less on unproven technologies and offsetting, to get to net zero by 2050. The airline’s new Flying to Net Zero road map published Apr. 23 sets out 53% of its decarbonization from SAF, 21% from technological advancements in aircraft and engine technology, 7% through fleet renewal, 4% through air traffic reform and 2% from operational efficiencies.
