The competitive landscape for prospective reactor vendors, large and small, has grown more fraught in the year since the 2023 Newbuild Report, with a growing number of potential nuclear newbuilds countries determined to consider offerings of all sizes, and from across the geopolitical divide. While Washington continues to try to pull countries out of the orbit of Moscow and/or Beijing with its nuclear offerings, and as Moscow, in particular, tries to guard its nuclear export market, countries including Armenia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates are eager to see offerings from all the major vendors.
